Privacy

Breaktray Kitchen Ltd. (ברייקטריי מטבח בע״מ, company number 518641303) is the controller of the personal information described here. The kitchen is at HaMerkava 21, Holon 5885114. For a privacy request, write to privacy@cateriva.pro or call 03-374-6182 on a morning we are open. This notice is how we meet the duty to tell you, in plain language, what we are asking for.

The law that applies

We handle personal information under the Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, including Amendment 13, which came into force on 14 August 2025. Amendment 13 widened what counts as personal information, expanded what a business must say at the moment it collects details, raised the Privacy Protection Authority’s ability to impose administrative fines, and left database registration in place mainly for public bodies and for businesses whose main work is handing personal information on to others at scale. A morning kitchen that keeps a list of offices it delivers to is still covered by the law. It is not, on the Authority’s published reading of the amendment, in the small set of databases that must still be registered. We keep a short internal note of what this list is, why it exists, who sees it, and how long the accounting copy is kept. That note is reviewed when the way we work changes.

We have not appointed a privacy protection officer. The posts the amendment requires — public bodies, large-scale trade in personal information, systematic monitoring, and processing of highly sensitive information as a main activity — do not describe this kitchen. The controller’s email above is the contact, not a separate office.

What we ask for, and why

When you send an order you give us a name, a mobile number, a date and a time, a headcount, the building, loading instructions, the trays you want, milk and dietary notes, and, if you ask for a tax invoice, a company name and company number. Loading instructions sometimes include a door code or the name of a person who will meet the driver. Dietary notes may describe an allergy, which is information you should treat as sensitive even when you are the one typing it.

The purpose is to bake the order, deliver it inside the window, collect the crate, issue a tax invoice when you ask, and answer you if something was wrong. Giving the information is voluntary. You do not owe it to us by law. Without a name, a mobile, a building and a loading note we cannot deliver, so the practical result of leaving those out is that there is no drop. We do not use the list to send a newsletter, and we do not sell it or pass it to a broker.

Who else sees it

The people who see an order are the cooks on the early shift and the driver. The message travels on WhatsApp. That means Meta Platforms, as the operator of WhatsApp, receives the message under WhatsApp’s own terms, which we do not control and which may involve processing outside Israel. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, call the kitchen line or write to orders@cateriva.pro and dictate the same fields. We do not add an analytics tool, an advertising pixel, or a font service that phones home. The only thing this website stores on your machine is described on the cookies page: a flag so the banner stays dismissed.

Codes, invoices, and how long we keep them

A door code is for the morning of the delivery. We do not copy codes into a standing list of buildings. When the crate is back we delete the message that contained the code from the kitchen phone, as far as WhatsApp allows a user to delete a chat. WhatsApp may keep its own copy. Do not put a permanent master code in the order if a one-day code exists. Dietary notes stay with the order long enough to bake the right tray and to answer a question about that invoice. They are not a medical file.

Tax invoices and the bookkeeping record are kept for the period Israeli bookkeeping rules require, generally seven years. The run sheet itself is not an archive. When the retention period on an invoice ends, the personal details on it go with the disposal of that record.

Access, correction, and a serious incident

You may ask to see the information we hold about you, and you may ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Write to privacy@cateriva.pro. We will answer within 30 days. If a security incident is serious in the sense the law and the Authority’s guidance use, we notify the Privacy Protection Authority as required, and we notify the people affected when the law says we must. Amendment 13 is enforced with administrative fines, and some breaches can also be the subject of a civil claim. We would rather answer a correction email than learn about a stale phone number from a missed crate.

This page was written for the kitchen’s own orders. It is not a notice for staff files, because the early shift is employed on paper that lives in the office drawer, not on this website. Questions about the site’s banner are on the cookies page. The commercial rules of an order are on the terms page.
