An oval steel tray of sugar-topped buns, walnut rugelach, a sliced glazed loaf and muffins, with a green linen at the edge of a wood counter.
The tray for eight, as it is built in Holon.

Sweet, baked before the traffic

The sweet tray is the quiet half of a coffee break: sugar buns, walnut rugelach, a sliced honey loaf and a few plain muffins, arranged on the steel tray that left the pass. It is sized for eight, fifteen or thirty people who will stand for ten minutes and then go back to a meeting. It is not a dessert table, and it is not a cake for a party.

What is on the tray

The dough is mixed the afternoon before and baked from 04:30. The buns are enriched with butter and finished with sugar. The rugelach is walnut, which matters, and is written again below. The loaf is a honey crumb, sliced so nobody has to hunt for a knife in a room that was not set for a meal. The muffins are plain, not iced, because a tall swirl of icing does not survive the service lift in July and arrives on the papers. We use butter and milk in the dough. The tray is dairy. There is no meat anywhere in this kitchen’s morning, on the sweet side or the savoury side.

A tray for eight feeds a small room that will also drink coffee: two pieces each if people are polite, and a little left if two of them only wanted the urn. A tray for fifteen is the department standup. A tray for thirty is a workshop morning, and it comes as two trays so one end of a long table is not staring at a cloth. Tell us the shape of the room in the loading note if thirty people will be split across two tables. We would rather pack two fifteens than one pile.

TrayWhat you getPrice
EightThe board price. Buns, walnut rugelach, honey loaf, muffins.₪286
FifteenThe same bake, more of it, packed as one deep tray.₪498
ThirtyTwo trays, so a long table has food at both ends.₪912

At eight, the tray is about ₪36 a person. At thirty it is about ₪30. That sits with what offices in Tel Aviv were paying in 2025 and 2026 for a light pastry break, once you separate the pastry from the coffee and from a full breakfast spread. A hosted morning with cheeses, eggs and a barista is a different bill, often ₪55 to ₪90 a head at the dairy caterers, and it is not what this kitchen sells. Our sweet tray plus the twelve-cup urn is ₪514, which is the smallest delivery we will roll the van for. The delivery minimum is ₪490.

Fruit, if the room wants it

A ceramic bowl of orange segments, pear, green apple and a few grapes on a pale stone counter in morning light, with a cup of milky coffee.
Fruit is a separate bowl, not a garnish tucked under the rugelach.

Fruit is cut the morning of the drop: orange, pear, apple, and grapes when they are good. It rides in its own bowl, covered, and it is the thing we would rather you put out in August than another glazed bun. It is not included in the sweet tray, because a room that only wanted rugelach should not pay for fruit it will leave.

Nuts, sesame, and what we will not promise

Walnuts and almonds are in this kitchen every morning. The rugelach on the standard tray is walnut. Almond paste turns up in a bake when we have a cool-season order that asked for it, and the grinder does not become a different machine afterwards. We will not call a tray nut-free, and we will not sign a line that says traces are absent. Peanuts are not an ingredient in the standard board. That sentence is about the recipe, not about a sealed plant, and it is the wrong sentence to lean on if someone in the room has a peanut allergy. Sesame sits on the cheese bourekas in the months when we send the hot tin. Gluten, egg and milk are in the sweet tray as a matter of course.

If you need the walnut rugelach left off, write that the day before, in the dietary note, and we will bake the tray without it. The rest of the kitchen still uses nuts. Allergies are yours to state. We cannot see the guest list, and a late scribble on the security pad is not a note we will have read. The terms put that duty on the client on purpose.

August, and the cloth instead of the tin

In the hot months the sweet tray leaves under a clean cloth, not in a sealed tin. A tin in a tower lobby sweats, and a good crumb goes damp before 09:30. The glaze on the loaf is thin for the same reason. We bake it to be eaten cool. If someone asks for “something warm with the coffee” between May and October, the honest answer is the urn. The cake was hot at 04:40 in Holon. By the time it reaches a twentieth floor it is at room temperature, which is what we intended. From November to April, if you have also ordered the hot tin on the savoury page, that tin is the only baked thing we still promise will be warm, and only on the 08:00 van.

Order the sweet tray with the date, the window and the building on the order page. The kitchen confirms by reply. A draft in WhatsApp is not a booking.
